McCain Ad Plays the Race Card
McCain's campaign furiously claimed Obama played the race card after Barack said he "doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills." The following day the McCain campaign claimed it would not make race an issue, and in turn, released this ad:
Is this ad not playing the race card Senator McCain? Still taking the moral high ground in this election or have you resorted to unwarranted mudslinging?
Obama Responds to Hecklers at Florida Town Hall
A small group of young African-Americans held a banner reading "What about the black community, Obama?" and heckled Obama Friday, August 1, 2008 at a town hall meeting in St. Petersburg, Florida. Obama finished his short speech, had the microphone passed to one of the hecklers, and responded fairly to his questions.
