Why not give us more of the truth to the run-up to theIraq war first instead of ducking behind some misbegotten notion of Semper Fidelis. The oath says God and Country not anything about criminal Residents.

Colin Powell won't be the only neocon voting Obama, I know of many and add to that 40 to 45% of evangelicals and we are looking at the first African-President and perhaps a return to respect for our constitution. Hey, we tried the dumb guy and look what it got us, lets try the smart guy this time... or is that elitist...

I know many have forgotten, but I still haven't forgiven Powell for his deceitful presentation before the UN. The shame of his role in that and other first-term follies will be with him for the rest of his life, but a full-throated endorsement of Obama will go some way towards repairing the damage he has done to this country.

Let's see Powell agree to testify in support of Kucinich's (sp?) impeachment resolution.

That would help Powell purge some demons. And, help heal the wounded Constitution of the United States - for which many of his soldiers fought and died.

You must NOT be aware of the history of Colin Powell and his presentation to the UN to have laid the blame at his feet like that.

Colin Powell's mistake was in trusting Tenet. Colin is a honorable man, it is no surprise then that he was more willing to trust that Tenet would be one too when he asked for his word that this was definite evidence [meaning: backed up by other intelligence].

The whole episode was enough to turn him off of politics completely. It's sad.
